How to Charge Samsung and LG Phones and Recharge PowerPack 10K

New PowerPack 10K customers,

If you are having trouble figuring out how to charge your Samsung or LG smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S10, S9, S8, Note8, Note9 or LG G7 ThinQ, LG V20, V30), this brief guide will help walk you through the steps.

Charging Your Phone

To charge your phone, please use your phone's usual charging cable. Do not use the short cable that is provided in the box. That cable will not fit your phone. The correct charging cable should be a USB-A to USB-C cable that looks something like this:

One end is wider and rectangular shaped. The other end is flatter and oval shaped.

To charge your LG phone with the PowerPack 10K, plug the rectangular shaped end into the PowerPack 10K port labeled "OUT." Plug the oval end into your phone. Charging should begin immediately. If the oval end is not plugged into your phone within 30 seconds, the PowerPack will turn off. To turn it back on so it can charge your phone, press the side button once.

Recharging the PowerPack

Recharging the PowerPack can be done with the short micro-USB cable that is provided and located in the side compartment of the box. Here are some detailed instructions to do that: https://www.zmiusa.com/blogs/faq/how-to-recharge-your-powerpack-10k

You can also use your LG phone's charging cable to recharge the PowerPack. To do this, plug the rectangular end (as shown in the image above) into your wall charging brick (the one you usually use to charge your phone). Then plug the oval end into the PowerPack's middle port, which is labeled "IN."
