How to make PowerPack 10000 recharge faster?

Q: It takes a while for the PowerPack 10000mAh battery pack to charge. How can I make it charge faster?

A: The bottleneck of recharging is likely in the power adapter (wall charger) used. Below is a list of recharge times when using power adapters of different power ratings:

  • 4.2 hours with an 18W QC fast charge plug; (We sell one of these separately. Here's the link.)
  • 6.2 hours with a 5V/2A plug like an iPad plug;
  • 11-12 hours with a 5V/1A plug like a stock iPhone plug.
  • ~24 hours with a basic USB port on certain laptop/desktop computer models. Those ports may look like a standard USB port, but they vary greatly in their power delivering capability. If you happen to charge off of a 500mA (or 0.5-amp) port, that'll be roughly 6 hours per light (very slow).
