The PowerPack 20K supports USB Power Delivery (PD) 2.0. The newer PD 3.0 is backward compatible with PD 2.0. Regarding the comparative benefits of PD 3.0, we refer the interested reader to an exposition piece titled "USB Power Delivery 2.0 vs 3.0" on the Texas Instruments (TI) Power House blog (see link below). We'd like to quote,
"...The maturity of the USB PD 2.0 specification as well as its lower complexity may very well always out-weigh the benefits offered by USB PD 3.0 in many applications. So USB PD 2.0 is here to stay."
